Anchorage HA pulls 18 years for trafficking Meth

Anchorage Hells Angel Charles Denver Phillips pulled 18 years in federal prison while his wife got four years for their roles in a meth distribution ring. Phillips and his wife Latrilla kept their stash in their apartment and at an Anchorage dog-kenneling business. Phillips was on supervised release at the time of his arrest for a previous drug trafficking charge. He also received five years of supervised release.

HA associate Roger Bishop whacked in Brossard

Eyeglasses and a baseball cap were left strewn on the ground after a daytime hit outside a Brossard gym. Roger Bishop, 49, was shot in the parking lot outside the World Gym on Taschereau Blvd. Bishop was once a high profile prospect with the club in 2015, but his star faded. He was declared dead after being shot in the chest at close range. A burned-out vehicle was discovered on Thierry St. nearby.

Montreal media are saying it's an internal club purge.

Dope caught with gun in cop car has lifetime firearms ban

Video showing Ali Showbeg, 38, removing a handgun concealed in his clothing surfaced in Toronto. Not only was the handcuffed Showbeg a veteran of previous weapons convictions, he is subject to a lifetime firearms ban. Showbeg now faces nine criminal charges including eight firearm-related charges. Failing to find a weapon on a suspect known to carry weapons and who is sitting in the back of a police car can be a deadly mistake.

Damian Karl Wereta is a violent gang member who has repeatedly assaulted, attacked and wounded other prisoners and Corrections staff behind bars. He has been given an indefinite jail sentence and he won't be released until authorities are satisfied he is no longer a risk. Most recently he stabbed a rival gang member 33 times with a 14cm shank. Wereta and his associates shouted Black Power slogans while the victim was contorting in agony. He was a rival Mongrel Mob gangster, and survived.

Phoenix cop Christopher Meyer fired

Phoenix Police Chief Jeri Williams has fired the officer involved in a viral cellphone video depicting him threatening to shoot a black family. On May 27, Phoenix cop Christopher Meyer pointed a gun at a car occupied by Dravon Ames, his pregnant fiancee, and their children.

The cop also told Ames, "I'm going to put a cap in your ass."

In the video, Meyer can be heard screaming, "You're going to get fucking shot in the head".

Modesto HA associate faces death penalty

Jeffrey Velthoen, 35, was arrested as part of an investigation into the Modesto Hells Angels MC that already had led to the arrest of high-ranking members, including the club’s president, vice president and secretary. Velthoen is linked to the Feb. 17, 2015, murder of 25-year-old Steven Losey.

Killer Dustin Swanson is back

A Canadian Hells Angels prospect sentenced to a 15-year prison term in Greece for his involvement in the beating death of a Greek man has returned to Alberta. Swanson served just a few years of his sentence. Swanson's companions — Nick Dragich and Brent Koziak — were full patch HA. Dustin Swanson has returned to the Edmonton area and started working as a tattoo artist. Swanson, now 38, was a prospect when he and two bikers travelled to Greece in June 2015 for the world run on the island of Corfu. They beat a man to death for no reason.

Mafia leader Andrew Scoppa whacked

Mob boss Andrew Scoppa, one of the Montreal Mafia's most influential players, was found dead in a pool of blood in a parking lot in the West Island. He had been shot in front of a store at 4744 Saint-Jean Boulevard. It was the 13th homicide in Montreal this year.

Andrea (Andrew) Scoppa was leader of a Calabrian clan in Montreal. Andrew is the brother of Salvatore Scoppa who was gunned down last May in the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel in Laval. Cops believe the Scoppa’s were involved in the murders of key Rizzuto family mobsters including Rocco Sollecito and Lorenzo Giordano. Speculation is that the remains of the Rizzuto crime family led by Stefano Sollecito may be taking revenge. The slaying of Andrew Scoppa is the second murder of a key figure in Quebec organized crime in the past few days. On Thursday, Gatean Sevigny, an associate of the Hells Angels in Quebec, was gunned down in front of his home in Terrebonne.

Toxic waste left for Oz taxpayers after West Footscray

Oz EPA estimates there are 10 million litres of chemicals still inside the burnt-out and partially collapsed warehouse that must be remediated. 14 months after the fire, the property of HA linked Graham Leslie White must be cleaned up at public expense. White was released from prison for keeping an illegal weapons cache in September.

The material is so toxic that guards have been posted to prevent entrance.

White is now linked to more than a dozen other illicit chemical stockpiles exceeding 100 million litres. The EPA’s failure to detect the massive stock of chemicals left behind after the fire is the latest in a long string of failures in stopping the syndicate behind the dumping operation.

White has not been charged for his illegal dumping or the highly suspicious West Footscray fire.

Peterborough drug dealer Kyle Gozzard = 7 years

Kyle Gozzard, 27, pleaded guilty to trafficking carfentanil and cocaine. Cops seized $138k in cash, nearly a kilogram of cocaine and three ounces of carfentanil. There have been 26 overdose deaths reported in Peterborough this year.

Gozzard apparently wasn't impressed with his six months in jail for trafficking cocaine and violating his bail in 2015. Back then, while on probation for other offenses, he was busted with 168.2 grams of cocaine and $2,744.35 in cash. This time around one expects to see a significant custodial sentence for the protection of the public. Rehabilitation seems to not be working. Gozzard will be sentenced in November. He remains in custody.

The fallout from Trump's meeting with Pelosi has taken a new turn. The story from Republican sources present is that Trump was screaming uncontrollably after Pelosi commented that 'all roads in Syria lead to Russia'. Reports from his own camp now suggest he was acting completely out of his mind.

Wild outbursts, erratic behavior, and bizarre fixations are now a daily event for Trump.

Aids to Trump say his mood changes from one minute to the next based on some headline or tweet. He becomes fixated on his false claims, for example that Hurricane Dorian was going to hit Alabama. He railed against the media for fact-checking him on the clearly false claim. As Hurricane Dorian made its way to the US, Trump took breaks in between golfing to post more than 120 tweets. "this nonsense has never happened to another President. Four days of corrupt reporting, still without an apology." ANYTHING that contradicts his view is called 'false news'. Trump becomes aggressive and belligerent when his statements are questioned.

The term anosognosia refers to a person with acute mental illness who may not be making a conscious choice. They may instead be experiencing 'lack of insight' or 'lack of awareness.' Anosognosia is Greek meaning “to not know a disease.” Early studies of anosognosia indicated that 30% of people with schizophrenia and 20% of people with bipolar disorder experienced 'severe' lack of awareness. For a person with anosognosia, this inaccurate insight feels real and is completely convincing.

Trump's most-repeated claims tend to become  more exaggerated over time. The often repeated story that a top general complained about a lack of bullets is patently ridiculous. Perhaps the most troubling rationale is one that he used in Texas yesterday ... he’s not crazy; anyone who doubts him is. His supporters just need to recognize the madness of his enemies, and then everything he says will make perfect sense. Trump made at least 26 false claims in his 87-minute speech in Dallas, including a declaration that Texas had somehow profited "billions and billions" from Hurricane Harvey in 2017.

Sinaloa Cartel rescues Ovidio Guzman

Heavy gunfire filled the streets of Culiacán on Thursday. Members of the cartel deployed across the city with military-grade weapons and in superior force, a live-streamed example of their power over the State. Mexican officials briefly detained Ovidio Guzman, one of Guzman’s sons who has emerged as a leading figure in the cartel. After freeing dozens of prisoners and turning the city into an urban war zone, Mexican authorities decided to release Guzman. Security Minister Alfonso Durazo told Reuters that Guzman was released to protect lives; the cartel took eight government soldiers hostage, as a bargaining chip to secure the cartel heir’s release.

HA associate Gaetan Sevigny whacked in Terrebonne

Well known HA associate Gaetan Sevigny, the owner of a towing company, was sentenced this past June to more than five years in prison on gangsterism, conspiracy and drug trafficking charges, but served only two days of that sentence due to time he had already served. The Surete du Quebec did not confirm the identity of the victim found this morning, but did say that he was a figure linked to organized crime.

Chris Tessier was living like a rock star. The paid police agent told his OPP handlers he raked in a cool $3 million a year dealing cocaine before signing a $600k contract for his co-operation. “We sold a lot of cocaine. I made a lot of money. If I said at the time it was $3 million, it would have been close to that.”

Tessier turned police informant targeting David 'Hollywood' Bullen, who pleaded guilty to 25 charges.

Two of Tessier's co-conspirators, Eric Corbeil, who arranged deliveries of cocaine by the kilo from Montreal to Ottawa, and “runner” Martin LeBlanc were sentenced in February for their roles. Two other alleged members, Todd Coughlin and Richard Craig, pleaded not guilty. Police at that time raided 25 homes and businesses and seized 2.5 kilos of cocaine, handguns, a half-million in cash, seven vehicles and a Robinson R44 helicopter.

HA Robin Moulton out and about

Full-patch Robin Moulton of the Hells Angels New Brunswick Nomads chapter has been granted day parole, despite opposition from local police and Correctional Service Canada. Cops say Moulton returned to his home province of New Brunswick in 2016 with the purpose of setting up a chapter for the Hells Angels. The New Brunswick Nomads chapter is part of an eastern expansion, which also established a chapter in Charlottetown this year.

Moulton, 50, was sentenced last October to 4½ years in prison for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Moulton was charged in August 2017. Cops had Moulton under surveillance for months. After covertly installing a motion-activated camera in a locker, cops watched as Moulton used a hydraulic press to cut cocaine into bricks. The cocaine seized had 35% purity.

The sentence was Moulton's second federal prison term. In 2008, he was sentenced to 64 months in prison for two counts of trafficking cocaine and one of possession of a prohibited restricted firearm.

Otto "Abbadabba" Berman

Otto "Abbadabba" Berman (1889 – October 23, 1935), was an American organized crime accountant and advisor to gangster Dutch Schultz. He is known for coining the phrase "Nothing personal, it is just business." Berman was killed by gunmen hired by the Commission and Louis Buchalter to eliminate Schultz at the Palace Chophouse tavern in Newark, N.J. in 1935.

Buchalter died in the electric chair at Sing Sing Prison on March 4, 1944.

Louis "Lepke" Buchalter (Feb. 6, 1897 to March 4, 1944) was the head of "Murder, Incorporated" a group formed to carry out murders for the Mafia.

Sebastien Comtois, Devils Ghosts boss, shot

Sebastien Comtois, president of the HA farm team the Devils Ghosts MC has been shot in his home. He is in non-life threatening condition. Comtois has a long criminal record with respect to assault with a weapon, fraud, obstruction, breaking and entering and impaired driving. In November 2016, he was arrested along with others in an operation to dismantle a drug smuggling ring operating on the South Shore of Montreal, under the Hells Angels South.

Comtois benefited from a stay of proceedings in March 2018.

Paul Fontaine shuns association with the Hells Angels

Paul 'Fon-Fon' Fontaine, 51, says emails from the Hells Angels support his view that he retired in March 2014. But officials at the Drummond Institution say that nothing shows he has left the biker club. Fontaine killed prison guard Pierre Rondeau during the biker war. He went on a seven-year run before being arrested in 2004. In 2009, he was sentenced to life in prison, with no possibility of parole for 25 years. Fontaine has been increasing requests, grievances and formal notices against correctional services.

Affiliation to the Hells Angels is detrimental to his efforts. His security classification, a possible transfer to a penitentiary with minimum security and access to rehabilitation programs is at stake. Fontaine sees as "hypothetical and unsupported" fears that he will re-enter the ranks of the Hells Angels after announcing his departure. Observations made behind walls show that Fontaine still has clear and obvious links with Hells Angels. In one case he wanted to incorporate a wing with bikers at Drummond Penitentiary. A Federal Court judge will hear the case in two weeks.

Hamilton Cop Craig Ruthowsky

The judge called the disgraced cop the "author of his own misfortune" and "a man of profoundly flawed character."

The Hamilton cop convicted in a massive pay-for-protection scheme with a crew of drug dealers is now facing the prospect of an additional three years being tacked onto his sentence because he did not pay a fine. Craig Ruthowsky was sentenced to 12½ years in a federal penitentiary last year, and he was also ordered to pay $250k — the amount the judge said Ruthowsky took in bribes. If Ruthowsky doesn't pay the fine in a year, three more years could be tacked on to his sentence.

The sentencing marks the final step in a lengthy and intricate trial that lasted much longer than anticipated. While sentencing was being pushed back, Ruthowsky continued getting paid. He was first suspended in June of 2012. He made over $104,000 last year, $107,000 in 2015, and $109,000 in 2012.
