Florida resident Christian Emmanuel Sanon, 63, has been arrested. He was in contact with a firm that provides security for politicians and recruited the killers. Sanon flew into Haiti on a private jet accompanied by several of the gunmen before the hit. | Sanon planned to assume the presidency. |
Well-armed mercenaries broke into Haiti President Jovenel Moïse's residence in Port-au-Prince early July 7 and shot him 12 times, killing him. Cops have identified 28 suspects in the attack: 26 Colombians and two Haitian-Americans. One of the Haitian-Americans is James Solages, who formerly worked as the "chief commander of bodyguards" at the Canadian Embassy in Haiti. |
