 | A 6 1/2-year prison sentence for the one-time girlfriend of former Orange County Mexican Mafia chief Peter Ojeda will stand. Suzie Rodriguez, 57, was convicted along with Ojeda of racketeering and criminal conspiracy to commit murder and assault with serious bodily injury. Prosecutors described Rodriguez as Ojeda’s “eyes and ears” in Orange County. Ojeda pulled 15 years and died in prison. |  |
 | Ojeda was embroiled in a struggle for control of Orange County with Armando Moreno, a former ally turned rival. The battle led to a wave of violence in Orange County jails. Ojeda ultimately won after gaining the support of high-ranking Mexican Mafia members from Los Angeles.
