The hit was captured on video. | The Sûreté du Québec carried out four search warrants in Montreal in July as they investigate the death of gang leader Arsène Mompoint, who was killed in Kanesatake on July 1, 2021. The shooter got out of a grey sport utility vehicle and shot Mompoint at point blank range. A burned out van was found nearby. Mompoint, 47, was shot 3 times in the head while in a cannabis dispensary the Green Room in Kanesatake. Mompoint was linked to the Reds street gang and was the leader of 'Unit 44' a group that carried out hits for organized crime, particularly the mafia. Mompoint worked for murdered Salvatore Scoppa. Mompoint was in conflict with other top players in Montreal organized crime, including gang leader Gregory Woolley, who is close to the Sicilians. |
