Seven Mile Bloods gangster pulls 40 years - no parole

Seven Mile Bloods gang member Robert Brown, aka “RO”, 37, is going to prison for decades as the FBI continues its crackdown on gang violence in Detroit.

Brown was sentenced to 40 years in federal prison after a jury convicted him of racketeering conspiracy, attempted murder in aid of racketeering and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime. Brown was sentenced to 30 years on the RICO conspiracy, 10 years on the weapons count, and a 10-year concurrent sentence on the attempted murder.
The Seven Mile Bloods gang operates on the east side of Detroit, between Gratiot Avenue and Kelly Road and between Seven and Eight Mile Roads. Seven Mile Bloods claimed this area as their territory and refer to it as the “Red Zone” and "4-8-2-0-die," named after the region's Zip code of 48205.
