Battle over Gambino Mobster's Family Jewels ending poorly

The battle of the Mafia bling is almost over — with a win unlikely for ex-“Mob Wives” star Ramona Rizzo. After nearly eight years the legal fight over $ 184k in jewels is on the verge of defeat. The loot was seized when her mobbed-up fiancé was busted as a coke dealer. The raid on Gambino family soldier Joseph Sclafani’s Staten Island home included an 18-karat gold Rolex watch. Two 18-karat gold Cartier love bracelets. Three 18-karat white gold flower bracelets — with diamonds, and five sets of diamond earrings.

Joseph 'Joey Boy' Sclafani, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine in 2013 and was sentenced to 15 years.

Costabile "Gus" Farace, Jr.
But all that glittered in Sclafani’s home was not gold. A Cartier Ballon Bleu watch was revealed as a cheap knockoff and destroyed. The legit items were auctioned off by the government in late 2015 and early 2016. Rizzo, along with Sclafani’s mother and sister, claimed that many of the pricey items seized did not belong to her husband-to-be.

Sclafani was previously convicted of harboring the killer in the 1989 slaying of undercover DEA agent Everett Hatcher, and was wounded alongside Constabile (Gus) Farace when he was killed by a Mafia hit team dispensing street justice.
