GPS tracking device of jealous mobster sinks 20

The New York City bus system had a problem when mechanics found a GPS tracker during routine maintenance in Nov 2016. The Staten Island depot was evacuated and explosives experts were called in to make sure it wasn’t a small bomb. The undercarriage of every bus in the five boroughs was searched for similar devices using mirrors on metal poles. The tracker came from an unlikely source, Colombo capo Joseph Amato Sr. who had reported it lost.

Amato had been keeping tabs on his girlfriend by secretly sticking the GPS on her car.

Joey Amato
Philip Lombardo and Dominick Ricigliano were charged. The capo sent the woman emails bragging about his influence and power on Staten Island. One said, “This is my island. Not yours. I have the eyes all over.” In another, Amato — who in 1995 was convicted in the shooting of a 15-year-old witness, boasted that “I’m called a MAN’S MAN!!!”

Events eventually snared 20 people — including 11 members and associates of the Colombo crime family. They were busted on charges including racketeering, loansharking and extortion.
Wiretaps on the phones of Amato, his son Joseph Amato Jr. and Colombo soldier Thomas Scorcia resulted in “thousands of intercepted phone calls and text messages.”

Biker loses firearms license - cries 'Police Revenge'

Marc Baribeau, a member of HA puppet club the Death Messengers, bit the dust in an attempt to overturn the decision made by the firearms controller, who reports to the Sûreté du Québec. At least 82 Hells Angels supporter club members, including Baribeau, had firearm licenses revoked in 2018 for being "actively involved in" an outlaw biker gang. Baribeau admitted to having a criminal record with respect to narcotics, domestic violence and assault against a peace officer, and did not deny that he is a member of the Death Messengers and intends to remain so.
Baribeau, despite wearing a "Support Trois-Rivières" patch in reference in the Trois-Rivières chapter of the Hells Angels, claims the Death Messengers "are not outlaws or bandits".

He argued, unsuccessfully, that the revocation of his license and other bikers is "police revenge." The judge wasn't buying it.
The judge noted there are about 200 members in a dozen 'farm clubs', according to the SQ.
"It is common knowledge and judicial knowledge that the Hells Angels are a group of bikers engaged in organized crime, including drug trafficking." The Hells engage in "promotional activities" and supporter clubs like the one that Marc Baribeau is part of "constitute a tool of this promotion."

Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández implicated in cocaine ring

A week after Trump showered praise on Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, the Honduran leader’s younger brother is set to go on trial in New York on charges of smuggling tons of cocaine into the U.S.
As President Hernández agreed to a deal that will allow the US to force some migrants to seek asylum in Honduras, federal prosecutors were preparing to present evidence that the Honduran president was a member of the drug trafficking conspiracy his brother was charged in.
Juan Antonio Hernández, 40, was deeply involved in all aspects of the drug trade. Hernández was so established in trafficking that he even had his own cocaine brand: labs in Colombia and Honduras stamped packets with the initials T.H., for Tony Hernández.

The president’s brother is linked to a trafficking organization called Los Cachiros. Its former leader, Devis Leonel Rivera Maradiaga, testified as part of a plea deal with American prosecutors.
