In an audio recording reported by News18 Punjab in October 2024, Arsh Dalla was heard saying that Kamal Kaur spreads filth on social media. He then threatened to kill one of her family members unless she removed her videos. Amritpal Singh Mehron is wanted in the murder. He said he will not allow “obscenity and vulgarity” in Punjab. In a video message from his verified Instagram account, Mehron, a Nihang Sikh, told social media influencers from Punjab to delete “vulgar content” from their accounts. “Do it by tonight or you will find me nearby.” |  |
Mehron confessed that Kamal Kaur was murdered by two of his aides for “defaming Sikh values” and “mocking the surname Kaur.” “Khalsa never attacks women, but when a woman targets our Takhts and mocks Sikh values, she cannot be spared,” Mehron said. The Nihang order of Sikhs are known for their distinctive blue attire and adherence to a strict code of conduct.
