 | Fredy Renán Nájera Montoya, 46, is a former Honduran politician and convicted drug trafficker. He served as deputy of the National Congress of Honduras. Najera oversaw the construction of airfields in Honduras and the use of militia-style tactics and weapons to protect drug shipments. |  Najera was sentenced to 30 years in U.S. federal prison for his role in importing over 30 tons of cocaine. |
 | In 2012, Nájera introduced the Sinaloa Cartel to Honduran officials who provided nearly unfettered access to a major commercial shipping hub in Puerto Cortés, Honduras. The Sinaloa Cartel relied on Nájera’s connections to transport at least 10 tons of cocaine through Puerto Cortés. In addition to his prison sentence Nájera was sentenced to five years supervised release, ordered to forfeit $39m, and ordered to pay a fine of $10m. |
