 | The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 25 lakh (about 31k USD) for information on “global terrorist” Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, a key suspect in the 1992-93 Mumbai blasts. The Bombay bombings were a series of 12 terrorist bombings that took place in Bombay, Maharashtra, on 12 March 1993. The single-day attacks resulted in 257 fatalities and 1,400 injuries. The NIA has also placed a bounty of Rs 20 lakh on Dawood’s aide Chhota Shakeel, and a bounty of Rs 15 lakh each on his other accomplices. All the fugitives are hiding in Pakistan. According to the NIA, Dawood has nine addresses in Pakistan, three Pakistani passports, and operates under several aliases. |
