![]() | Irish gangster Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch has been arrested in his Spanish bolthole by undercover cops on the Costa del Sol. Hutch is wanted by gardai as part of an investigation into the Regency Hotel murder of Kinahan gangster David Byrne. Police, working with gardai from Dublin, jumped the 58-year-old gang boss in the Fuengirola area. Hutch will be sent to Madrid to be extradited. The process could take six months, with Hutch on remand in jail. The man known as 'The Monk' says that he went straight after leaving prison over 30 years ago, and that his fortune is all from his wise business ventures and investments, not drug dealing. |
