 | Jeremiah Shane Farmer, a convicted member of the Latin Kings, outed himself as Kelly’s attacker. He’s facing a mandatory life sentence for racketeering conspiracy involving a 1999 double murder. Among other things, Farmer was peeved about the frequent lock-downs caused by R Kelly fans in front of the prison. Farmer was convicted in the June 25, 1999, slayings of Marion Lowry, 74, and Harvey Siegers, 67, who were beaten to death with a small sledgehammer. |  |
| R&B singer R. Kelly, who is awaiting trial on child pornography and other charges, was assaulted by a fellow detainee at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago. Kelly, 53, faces several dozen counts of state and federal sexual misconduct charges in Illinois, Minnesota and New York. The mountain of charges range from sexual assault to racketeering. |
