Rayful Edmond III is a former drug trafficker in Washington in the 1980s. Edmond is credited with introducing crack into the area. The Washington D.C. area became the murder capital of the US. Edmond moved huge amounts of cocaine. It was said that his crew bought between 1,000 and 2,000 kg per week in 1992 from the Trujillo-Blanco brothers. In a single year, Edmond's organization, which employed 150 people, committed 30 murders. Edmond was arrested on April 15, 1989 at the age of 24 and sentenced to life without parole. He continued his operation from jail and was busted again in 1996. |
