Las Vegas mobster Frank Cullotta dead

Frank Cullotta, a former mobster turned government witness who had a cameo role in the 1995 movie "Casino" has died of Covid-19. He was 81. Cullotta arrived in Las Vegas from Chicago in 1979 after he killed an associate thought to be a rat.
A year later while in prison, Cullotta agreed to testify against Spilotro, who was indicted for conspiracy and obstruction of justice.Cullotta formed the Hole in the Wall gang under Anthony 'Tony the Ant' Spilotro. The gang gained entry by drilling through exterior walls and ceilings. In July 1981, Cullotto and five others were busted after a robbery and charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, attempted grand larceny and possession of burglary tools.
Cullotta was given immunity for his uncharged crimes, but served eight years in prison before being paroled into witness protection when Spilotro was acquitted in 1984. Spilotro was whacked in a mob hit in 1986 along with his brother.
