RCMP tackles, beats, first nation chief for no reason - Update II

The crown has quietly dropped charges of resisting arrest and assaulting a peace officer against Chief Allan Adam of the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation. Many demanded answers after the video was released. None have been forthcoming.
RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki was repeatedly pressed by politicos for answers over systemic racism in the RCMP — and she struggled mightily, at one point going on at length about the disparity in officers' heights. The country's top cop apparently doesn't know the difference between discrimination and racism.

After failing miserably to address the question, she handed it off to one of her staff. The grotesque problems in the RCMP start at the top.

The episode was about an expired license plate tag. Adam was charged with resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. The footage was hidden by asshole cops even as they said that officers had acted reasonably. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he has "serious questions" about what happened.
The Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation says the RCMP dash-camera video was released to get criminal charges against Chief Allan Adam stayed. The conflict starts at the 7 minute mark.
