360 kg of cocaine seized in Sofia, Bulgaria

Some cocaine was of high purity over 75%, with the rest cut to 65-70%. Bulgarian police have seized more than 360kg of cocaine in the capital. The cocaine haul was made in the apartment of 33-year old Nikolay Petrov, after police had found 40kg during a routine traffic stop.
Cops say the haul is worth $50m with most of the drugs meant for shipment to western Euurope. Bulgaria lies on a drug route from the Middle East to Western Europe, and Bulgarians have long been active in the cocaine trade.

Bulgarian drug lord Evelin Banev 'Brendo', was sentenced to 20 years in 2012.
