Trial of Rabih 'Robby' Alkhalil

Rabih 'Robby' AlkhalilA man who worked undercover for police in 2012 testified in a case against Rabih 'Robby' Alkhalil, 32, who faces six charges related to Project Loquace. He sought out his past connections with Frédéric Lavoie. In May 2012 Lavoie informed the undercover agent that 100kg of cocaine had been delivered.

Alkhalil is said to have been part of a group that included HA Larry Amero and Shane Kenneth 'Wheels' Maloney, 42, a leader of Montreal’s West End Gang — who controlled the cocaine Lavoie distributed. Maloney pleaded guilty to charges related to Project Loquace in 2017. He was granted day parole on Dec. 18th. Amero was arrested in Ottawa in Jan 2018 and brought back to B.C. on charges that he plotted to kill gangsters Sandip Duhre and Sukh Dhak.

Frederic Lavoie
The body of Frederic Lavoie was found on May 12, 2014 in the town of Sabaneta, 300 km northwest of the capital, Bogota. His remains were found on a street inside four garbage bags that were leaking blood. He was among more than 100 people sought by provincial police in a massive anti-drug operation launched in 2012 against bikers, the Mafia and their associates.

Lavoie's accomplice, Timoleon Psiharis, 29, was tortured, doused with acid and beaten to death in Greece in 2012.
