Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has banned the movie ‘Shooter’, which is based on the life of gangster Sukha Kahlwan and ‘promotes violence, heinous crimes, extortion, threats and criminal intimidation’. The ban comes 10 days after Mansa Police registered a case against 2 Punjabi singers for 'propagating violence' through a video clip uploaded on youtube. Sukha Kahlwan was gunned down by a dozen assailants, who filmed and danced around the body in front of cops at Phagwara on January 22, 2015 | Some of Kahlwan's Facebook posts talk about his being in the “profession of killing” and his “crime city” |
