Oz drug smuggling boat going cheap

A yacht carrying $1b worth of drugs bound for Australia is being sold by police. The $560k 17-metre yacht Zero, could be yours for just $95,001 after it was found abandoned off the coast of Western Australia. It contained 40 bags of cocaine, methamphetamine and ecstasy, weighing one tonne, hidden under piles of seaweed.
The yacht sustained some damage when the skipper failed to navigate the Western Australian coastline and struck a reef. Police later found French man Antoine Robert Dicenta, 51, and British man Graham Kurt Palmer, 34, about seven kilometres away on Burton Island.
They ran into an unfriendly seal and got themselves busted.
A group of drug smuggler's luck ran out after police seized $900m worth of drugs in Australia. Two suspects were found on Burton Island with almost 2,000 pounds of cocaine and ecstasy concealed under seaweed. After being spotted, police say the suspects attempted to flee but were stopped by a massive sleeping seal blocking their path. They woke it up, and it was not in a good mood as it jumped up and bellowed at them.

Apparently that was more than enough for them to think twice about taking it on. Three others were also arrested and charged in Perth. Five have been arrested after police uncovered the drugs on Sept. 3.
