 | It won't be smooth sailing for 'Teflon Biker' Robert Barletta this time. He was arrested and removed from an airplane at Pearson airport in front of open mouthed travellers. Barletta was arrested Friday and charged with six criminal offences, five of them gun-related. More than a dozen club members and associates were arrested in the police probe and the case involves chapters in London, Toronto and Niagara. A public announcement is expected Thursday by the province’s joint forces Biker Enforcement Unit. (BEU) Barletta somehow dodged his charges for his role in a $103-million illegal sports betting ring, Platinum Sports Book. |  After 3 years the charges were withdrawn for unknown reasons. |
