Canadian cocaine mule takes child on Oz drug run

X-ray view of bagA Canadian woman travelling to Australia with her young son was busted at the airport with a large load of cocaine. The 42-year-old woman is being held. Authorities are discussing the care of the child until he can be returned to his family in Canada. The woman, identified only as L. Roberts, arrived at Sydney International Airport on a flight from Canada with three large suitcases and her young son.
Cops landed about 12kg, a huge amount where the drug commands higher prices due to high demand and the difficulty of importing it. Most smuggling schemes are backed by organzied crime.
