Tekashi69 pleads guilty, cooperates with FBI

The Brooklyn rapper known as Tekashi 6ix9ine has pleaded guilty to nine counts of racketeering, firearms offenses and drug trafficking. Born Daniel Hernandez, he pleaded guilty last week, but court records were sealed because of concerns for his safety. Hernandez is cooperating with the FBI, and that makes him a snitch to his former gang the Nine Trey Gangsters. 21 Savage, a member of the Bloods, blasted 6ix9ine as rat, as did Crip Snoop Dogg.

Hernandez is perhaps best known for his 2017 debut single "Gummo," which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Previously, Tekashi69 was convicted of a child sex crime and put on four years probation. The rapper was moved from general population of a tough Brooklyn prison because he was ‘gangster checked’ by a member of the Crips. The 22-year-old was confronted by Crips when he arrived at the jail.

The rapper was previously arrested for racketeering, conspiring to commit armed robbery, drug dealing and shootings. He was moved to a new facility – which is used to house witnesses who co-operate with police. The star faces life in prison after he was indicted on six counts.
Tekashi69's Dummy Boy debut album is big.
