'Thief in Law' Aleksey Tsvetkov claims poverty

Thief in law Aleksey Tsvetkov was convicted last year for running a violent syndicate guilty of racketeering, illegal gambling, loansharking, extortion, arson and marijuana distribution. Set to be sentenced, he claimed “a lot of issues” with his public defender, his third, and wants a new one. When the judge asked Tsevtkov why he didn’t just hire his own lawyer Tsvetkov said "I can't afford one". This from a gangster who rolled in a Porsche Panamera and wore $1,500 Yeezy sneakers.

The judge moved the sentencing to Sept. 27.

102-year-old John 'Sonny' Franzese: ‘I never hurt nobody that was innocent’

Colombo under-boss John “Sonny” Franzese is the living embodiment of the ultimate mob rule — bragging about refusing to rat despite it making him the oldest federal prisoner at the age of 100. Franzese said that “no one in history” had done as much time as him, likening it to godliness. “Jesus suffered,” he said. “He didn’t squeal on nobody.” The late John Gotti called Franzese “one tough fucking guy” for his refusal to rat.

One, John Jr., 58, even wore a wire and gave evidence against the Colombos and his dad, sending him back to jail when he was 93. “I killed a lot of guys … you’re not talking about four, five, six, 10,” he said in a secretly taped conversation. “I was a good soldier.”

Paolo Caputo may have been executed because his associates had an outstanding $5m debt to a Mexican drug cartel, sources say. The debt stems from a massive drug rip-off connected to the June 2012 murder of John Raposo, 35. Caputo’s brother, Martino Caputo, is serving a life sentence as one of four men convicted of first-degree murder in the Raposo shooting. The Mexican cartel that fronted the drugs to Raposo, Martino Caputo and others was not fully paid.

A restaurant owner shot to death Friday afternoon in front of the wine bar he ran in the Roncesvalles neighbourhood in Toronto was an associate of Montreal mob boss Vito Rizzuto. Paolo Caputo, 64, became Toronto's 38th homicide victim of 2019. Witnesses reported two gunshots. Caputo was busted in late 2007 with dozens of others when police broke up a high stakes poker game at a mob social club. Police were alerted to the gambling after the club was robbed by two men earlier that year.

The OPP organized crime unit estimated the operation grossed more than $1m yearly, with profits going to Rizzuto.

Tupac Shakur was gunned down by Orlando Anderson

Former LA Police detective Greg Kading has revealed who killed Tupac Shakur. The night Tupac was fatally shot, he brawled with a known street gang member in a Las Vegas casino after a Mike Tyson fight. He attacked Crips member Orlando Anderson, who had earlier stolen a medallion from one of his entourage, who was associated with the Bloods. “When he ran across the lobby of that casino and slugged another gang member, he signed his own death warrant. That wasn’t his business to do that...it cost him his life.”

Shakur was one of the most successful rappers of all time having sold an estimated 75m records worldwide.

Tupac was gunned down on the Las Vegas strip hours after the altercation with Anderson in the MGM Grand casino. The star - who was in a car with Death Row records boss Suge Knight - was hit in the chest, arm and thigh and died six days later in hospital. Anderson, who denied the claims, was killed in a gangland shooting just over two years later.

Drug lab in Surrey linked to Brothers Keepers, HA Hardside

Cops seized 63,000 doses of fake OxyContin pills, 94,000 doses of fake Percocet pills, 5,000 doses of cocaine, 22,500 doses of fake heroin, and 200 doses of meth. The drug lab also yielded 89 kg of cutting agents, 60 kg of a pill-binding agent, and 3 industrial pill presses. 7 firearms were seized, including 6 SKS assault rifles.

RCMP say there are connections between the lab and the Brothers Keepers gang. It is being reported that the Brothers Keepers are at war with the Kang group, as well as the United Nations gang. The Brothers Keepers had well known ties to the Hardside Hells Angels through the recently murdered Suminder Grewal.

Trouble follows bikie Ben "Notorious" Geppert

Ben "Notorious" Geppert is back in the spotlight after a disturbing video of a six-year-old girl snorting salt as if it were cocaine. Geppert was filmed at a restaurant crushing up salt for the young girl to snort. The child's father is Bandido enforcer John Fahey, and her mother is Allaina Vader. On Friday night, Fahey uploaded the now-deleted post to social media along with the caption: 'Ya crush up salt and get my 6 year old daughter to snort it. Your going to be snorting ya teeth maggot … Ben Geppert bone yard dog.'

Several of Fahey's associates targeted Geppert in a Gold Coast shopping centre on Friday. The men taunted Geppert with insults while filming. 'Ya dog, ya dog, ya dog cunt,' the men yelled. 'Why don't you fight me, dog?' 'You wanna come one-on-one, why you running off? Ya fucking snake dog'. 'I'm not going to jail over you,' Geppert said while walking away. The 'reformed' bikie later said he was serving a suspended jail sentence for a brawl last year, and would likely end up behind bars if he broke the law.

Nomads bikie president Moudi Tajjour - who is nightclub baron John Ibrahim's cousin - blasted Geppert for being 'a disgrace to the gangster lifestyle'.

Mobster Pat Musitano's home for sale

In 2017, Angelo, Musitano's brother was shot at killed at his home in Waterdown. Musitano himself recently survived being shot multiple times.

Realtor.ca calls it a "dream home." The two-and-half storey, single-family home of mobster Pat Musitano is now for sale with a price tag of $699,900. The listing for 206 St. Clair Boulevard touts the home's features, including four bedrooms, two bathrooms, three parking spaces, and 'character and charm.' Notwitstanding charm, the home's link to crime could make families think twice.

In 2015, police were called to the street for a vehicle fire. Two years later multiple shots were fired into the Musitano home. Earlier this summer, and likely the final straw, the home was the site of a bizarre car crash, with black men fleeing the scene shedding clothing and a mask in what's thought to be a botched hit.
