Ryan Nixon of TNT Trucking has operated illegally on the ALR land of the Kandolas at 982 Old Vernon Road in Kelowna since 2017. | In November 2023 Ryan Nixon of TNT Trucking Ltd. was hit with an inspection order from the Ministry of Environment. "The purpose of the inspection was to follow-up with a complaint concerning the facilities soil screening andbblending operation, including; leachate crossing property boundaries and the addition of drywall during the operation."
| "TNT must apply for a waste discharge authorization with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy." |
Never have permits been in place. Many times the ALC has denied a permit for non-farm use at 982 Old Vernon Road. The ALR land is zoned for agriculture use, not industrial. |

"I kind of started renting the land a few years ago and just all of a sudden. I kind of got hooked into this and then next thing you know they're trying to demonize me and make me the bad guy." said Taylor Nixon yesterday. | A lawsuit was filed on July 8, 2022 by neighbors for noise, dust, and problems from the illegal operation. The lawsuit has been ignored and activities increased. | 'They' would be the folks objecting to an illegal industrial operation that should have been shuttered for screaming cause 5 years ago. |
Very ironically, the business is a major contractor to the City of Kelowna doing $50,116.57 in business in 2022 and $43,366.66 for the first 7 months of 2023.

982 Old Vernon Road has potential for non-soil-based agriculture. Intensive agriculture such as poultry, mushrooms, a pot grow op, or livestock operations would likely be approved by the ALC for the site. Ownership (Kandolas) are not interested in doing that. Farming industrial waste is hugely profitable.
