Edmonton cops have charged 3 in connection with the murder of Curtis Vidal. Colin Penner, 27, and Ricardo Gomez-Jimenez, 27 are charged with first-degree murder. Jyostna Reddy is charged with accessory to murder and conspiracy to murder.

Drug dealer and notorious career gangster Curtis Vidal has been killed in Edmonton. Vidal died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. He was sentenced to eight years in jail in BC Supreme Court in Chilliwack for a violent home invasion. Co-accused Travis Soderstrom was sentenced to seven years. Vidal had about 55 convictions over the last 20 years. He had spent more than half of the last decade incarcerated, leading the judge to wonder how he could commit more crimes while in jail. He had been living in Alberta since completing his sentence. He had connections to the Hells Angels in the Lower Mainland. Its said Vidal had been in conflict with members of the United Nations gang.

Daniel Kinahan 'running out of road' in race to escape UAE - update

Sky Sports presenter Matthew Macklin was banned from boarding a flight to the US. The former boxing world title contender was due to fly to Las Vegas. His links to Kinahan mean he is now persona non gratia in the United States. Macklin's ties to Daniel Kinahan are extensive. He initially co-founded MTK boxing management in 2012 with the Irishman, who once described Macklin as his best friend.

Measures announced by Dubai mirror American sanctions, which means nobody in the kingdom can do business with them. Technically, not even supermarkets can serve them. UAE authorities no longer want the traffickers from the Kinahan Cartel in their country. It is increasingly likely they will be arrested and extradited to Ireland to face charges. A second possibility is that the UAE will hand the men over to the US. Its said the $5m rewards have resulted in an avalanch of rats and new material for cops to pursue. Abilaziz 'Lips' Mohamed, 32, was reeled in by Toronto cops within hours. For $250k these types would rat out their own mothers.

Number one on the list of Canada's most wanted is Abilaziz 'Lips' Mohamed, 32, who is accused of shooting Craig MacDonald, 43, in the parking lot of a Scarborough Boston Pizza last year. MacDonald was a devoted family man with 5 children. It's a whooping $250k if you know where the wicked K9 Abilaziz Mohamed is at. Mohamed is described as five-foot-ten, 190 pounds, and has a stocky build, black hair, brown eyes, and a full beard with a mustache. Cops say 'lips' Mohamed is believed to be in the GTA and is armed and dangerous.

It's a $100k bounty on the head of Gene Karl Lahrkamp, who is suspected of being one of the hitmen of Jimi Sandhu. Lahrkamp's last known residence was in Trail. Cops believe he's in B.C.

"Google me - I'm Liam Byrne from Dublin"

Kinanhan drug dealer Liam Byrne is desperate to collect loot from his new bolthole in Dubai by making threatening phone calls while on the run. The gangster was spotted in McGettigan's Bar at the Jumeirah Lakes Towers with his wife Simoan McEnroe. It is understood key figures of the Kinahan Cartel are now under police surveilence. Byrne is foolishly using his phone to terrorize anyone he believes owes him money. He tells his targets to "Google me - I'm Liam Byrne from Dublin". The Kinahan Cartel is being crushed as the money dries up. Byrne is wanted by UK police. His brother-in-law Thomas 'Bomber' Kavanagh has been caged for 21 years. Byrne's business partner Sean McGovern is wanted for murder and an Interpol red notice arrest warrant has been issued for him. He is thought to also be in the UAE.

Captagon trade on the rise

Captagon is one of several brand names for the drug compound fenethylline hydrochloride. Captagon was the trade name of the drug when it was initially patented in Germany in the early 1960s. It was used to treat attention deficit and narcolepsy. By the 1980's the U.S. government declared it a controlled substance with no accepted medical use. Manufacturing of the drug ceased in the developed world. Trade in Captagon in the Middle East grew exponentially in 2021 to top $5b. Syria is the main producer and Saudi Arabia the main consumer. The market value of the Captagon produced in Syria far outstrips legal exports and has resulted in the country being branded a narco state.

Captagon has so far only been consumed on a very small scale in Europe but that has the potential to change. Sold for less than a dollar in parts of Syria to users, the same tablet can fetch more than $20 in Saudi Arabia. Captagon is a highly addictive amphetamine.

Cops took steps with the booze license, and took issue with the continuous presence of members of organized crime in the establishment. Violence and non-compliance with COVID sealed the deal.

Yacht from £160m cocaine haul off Plymouth coast for sale

The Kahu was seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act last year, and will be sold at auction. It is expected to fetch £1m. Six, including a UK man, were busted off the coast of Plymouth when cops seized two tonnes of cocaine. Andrew Cole, 33, pleaded guilty to drug smuggling. He is the last man standing after the others were acquitted. He will be sentenced on 26 May.

The British man and 5 Nicaraguans were arrested on the Jamaican-flagged Kahu, 80 miles off the coast, in international waters north of Guernsey. Cops estimate the street value of the drugs is over £160m.

The former New Zealand Navy patrol ship was transformed into a luxury yacht in 2012.

The Kahu had been listed on the market for a year and was sold for 1.5m euros.

Hells Angels on the decline in Denmark

Satudarah in Denmark is growing and is bigger than Hells Angels and Bandidos combined.

The club now has over 300 associated in various ways. Hells Angels in Denmark dates to the latter 1970s, when four Copenhagen clubs merged. In 1981 the Dutch landed a Hells Angel charter. In 2013 Satudarah appeared. Several former Hells Angels became part of Satudarah and the balance of power tipped.

Colombo boss Andrew 'Mush' Russo wins bail - dies

Long time boss 'Mush' was able to die surrounded by his loved ones as opposed to in prison.

Andrew 'Mush' Russo, 87, was charged in a union shakedown, and won his freedom with a $10m bond. Juan Orlando Hernández: Honduran ex-leader extradited to US

Hernández governed Honduras until January. He was put on board a DEA plane for New York. He was arrested just weeks after his second term in office ended. He "partnered with some of the world's most prolific narcotics traffickers to build a corrupt and brutally violent empire based on the illegal trafficking of tons of cocaine".

The head of the DEA called Hernández "a central figure in one of the largest and most violent cocaine trafficking conspiracies in the world". Juan Antonio Hernández, 40, the President's brother was deeply involved in the drug trade. Hernández was so established he even had his own cocaine brand: labs stamped packets with the initials T.H., for Tony Hernández. The president’s brother was linked to a trafficking organization called Los Cachiros. He was sentenced to life last year.

Fredericton cops report biggest drug bust ever

Fredericton cops made the single largest drug seizure in the force's history, including 5.5 kg of crystal meth which police claim is valued at $560k. The seizure included a large amount of cash and a cache of firearms. Kaleb Jeffrey Kennett, 40, and Tasheen Brianna Monika Cloake, 30, face a combined 45 charges under the Criminal Code, and 18 charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

HA Vincent 'Gus' Boulanger lassoed for drugs, gangsterism - update

Gangsters linked to the Hells Angels were arrested in raids in Montreal as well as in Sainte-Julie, Brossard and Granby, in the Montérégie region. Raids are related to the bust of Vincent 'Gus' Boulanger. Cops say 'significant quantities' of drugs were seized.

Vincent 'Gus' Boulanger, 50, has been busted, along with 4 others. In 2015 he pleaded guilty to being part of a conspiracy to traffic drugs and was sentenced to 45 months. The biker started in the Sherbrooke chapter.

“Mini Mike Tyson” Khurtsidze - early release

Former champion boxer Avtandil Khurtsidze will be released from jail after being jailed in 2017 on racketeering charges.

Khurtsidze was sentenced to 10 years for being a mob enforcer for "thief in law" Razhden Shulaya. Prosecutors said Khurtsidze didn’t need to help Shulaya, who was also convicted at trial. “There is no reason other than the enjoyment of inflicting pain and the power and prestige it would bring."

The judge agreed, calling Khurtsidze’s crimes 'breathtaking.' The judge chided him for being so devoted to Shulaya that he once offered to rape a woman Shulaya was angry with. “If you tell me it is needed I will give her a good fuck when I see her” the thug told his boss.
