Thailand has upheld the conviction and death sentence of Australian Luke Joshua Cook, his Thai wife Kanyarat Wediphitak and a Californian man, Tyler Gerard.
The three were arrested in December 2017 for the failed importation of 500kg of meth into Thailand using the yacht 'Jomandy'. The operation was under senior Hells Angels Wayne Rodney Schneider, who was murdered in Thailand. In December 2015, Cook and Gerard were arrested and pleaded guilty to the abduction, death and burial of Schneider. Antonio Bagnato was also arrested, but he denied the charges and was ultimately sentenced to three years.
Thai officials call Cook and his wife con artists and liars, citing the couple’s claim that they never had any dealings or contact with the Hells Angels.

Prolific offender Andrew R. Hardenstine is suing the Okanagan Correctional Centre for an alleged food poisoning incident that took place while he was behind bars. He's seeking $14k for his pain and suffering. It's related to what he describes as a food poisoning incident that made him feel ill for three days.
Hardenstine is currently awaiting trial on weapons and drug charges after cops seized an arsenal of firearms and drugs from his home in Penticton in late 2018.
Weapons included a .22 calibre rifle, a semi-automatic 9mm, a semi-automatic .38, a homemade style shotgun, crossbow and ammunition.

Oakland rapper Amir "Kafani" Rashad has been accused of leading a fraud ring that stole millions of dollars from people in California. The 39-year-old is known for his inspiring recovery after being shot and paralyzed in 2013. He is the lead defendant in the federal fraud case. Kafani worked with co-defendants to orchestrate what is described as a "wide-ranging fraudulent loan scam" that started in 2018.
Seven victims were identified. Most said that someone had created fraudulent loans or made purchases in their names.
Some of the evidence came from wiretaps of Rashad’s phone. He discussed stealing an elderly woman’s identity and setting up a fraudulent loan in her name.
“We good, we just need a granny.” Rashad said. A month later, Arreola-Martin, 69, impersonated the woman to set up a fraudulent loan.
Rashad responded in a live video on Instagram. He called the accusations “slander” and “bullshit." Rashad was on supervised release after serving a 39-month sentence for a 2015 conviction of conspiring to commit wire fraud.

Aleksey Tsvetkov, 41, was triggered during his sentencing as the judge handed him a 16 year sentence for his 2018 racketeering conviction. Tsevtkov shouted 'I can’t take these lies anymore!' and accused the prosecutor of misleading jurors.
Shortly after his conviction, Tsvetkov, who was born in Ukraine, wrote a letter to the judge claiming his jurors were anti-Russian. He also said his case was politically motivated. Tsvetkov was convicted with co-defendant Leonid 'Lenny' Gershman.

The drugs were concealed in a consignment of flowers at the port of Moín, Limón. 202 suitcases contained a total of 5,048 packages of cocaine weighing around one kilo each. The cocaine was destined for Rotterdam. Police arrested a 46-year-old Costa Rican.
