Thailand has upheld the conviction and death sentence of Australian Luke Joshua Cook, his Thai wife Kanyarat Wediphitak and a Californian man, Tyler Gerard.
The three were arrested in December 2017 for the failed importation of 500kg of meth into Thailand using the yacht 'Jomandy'. The operation was under senior Hells Angels Wayne Rodney Schneider, who was murdered in Thailand. In December 2015, Cook and Gerard were arrested and pleaded guilty to the abduction, death and burial of Schneider. Antonio Bagnato was also arrested, but he denied the charges and was ultimately sentenced to three years.
Thai officials call Cook and his wife con artists and liars, citing the couple’s claim that they never had any dealings or contact with the Hells Angels.

The Red Devils are closely affiliated with the Hells Angels. “These guys are Hells Angels wannabes,” Julian Sher says. “Puppet clubs of the outlaw motorcycle gangs are just as dangerous as the real thing – sometimes even more so. They are like a farm team for the HA and they want to prove they are as bad as the baddest.”

Rudnick testified and then admitted fabricating his account that it was a conspiracy to kill Jeffrey Pettigrew, president of the San Jose Hells Angels.

Oakland rapper Amir "Kafani" Rashad has been accused of leading a fraud ring that stole millions of dollars from people in California. The 39-year-old is known for his inspiring recovery after being shot and paralyzed in 2013. He is the lead defendant in the federal fraud case. Kafani worked with co-defendants to orchestrate what is described as a "wide-ranging fraudulent loan scam" that started in 2018.
Seven victims were identified. Most said that someone had created fraudulent loans or made purchases in their names.
Some of the evidence came from wiretaps of Rashad’s phone. He discussed stealing an elderly woman’s identity and setting up a fraudulent loan in her name.
“We good, we just need a granny.” Rashad said. A month later, Arreola-Martin, 69, impersonated the woman to set up a fraudulent loan.
Rashad responded in a live video on Instagram. He called the accusations “slander” and “bullshit." Rashad was on supervised release after serving a 39-month sentence for a 2015 conviction of conspiring to commit wire fraud.

Teenagers in the U.K. are acting as fixers for online hackers who deploy them either as “money mules” – using their bank details to shift money, or to recruit others. Known as authorized push payment (APP) fraud, criminals hack email accounts and convince consumers to send money. It is these recipient accounts that have originated with the money mules.
Criminal gangs are targeting teenagers. Within the gang there is a hierarchy. The hacker, “plug” is at the top of the chain, and below him are underage operatives.
The lowest group are the “runners”, who provide the bank account details. They can be as young as 13.
Once an account is found to have been used in a fraud, it is blocked by the bank, so new accounts are needed for each theft. Like most criminal scams the real money is at the top.

The pink congo philodendron has leaves the color of bubblegum, and it's in the middle of a global scam by so called plantfluencers. 'Pink Princess' is a hybrid developed by breeding two different types of philodendrons in the 70s. It was an unusual but ordinary houseplant. It sold for $6.

Pink Princess
The 'Pink Princess' now has wait lists. The same growers who charged $6 are now charging upwards of $150+ for a four-inch plant. A brand new pink plant emerged called the pink congo. It looks similar to the pink princess. It isn't a plant that was naturally variegated, like the pink princess, but one that had been chemically gassed in a greenhouse to produce a plant hormone that temporarily changes the color of its leaves. The pink goes back to green.
People are spending small fortunes and finding out they have ordinary philodendrons.
The houseplant is a global economic force. The American gardening industry alone is worth $48bn.
A bungled police operation in Mexico that briefly led to the detention of Ovidio Guzmán López, a son of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán, revealed extremely heavily armed fighters, including some with American-made Barrett .50 caliber anti-materiel rifles and others riding in gun trucks packing .50 caliber M2 machine guns. Cartel gunmen brought to bear M249 Para light machine guns, along with the M72 LAW, a portable one-shot 66-mm unguided anti-tank weapon. The Sinaloa Cartel's response underscored just how heavily armed it is, and how capable they are of taking on Mexican military forces.
